i think that we are actually born enlightened,
but because our muscles are too frail and our bones too brittle
we can do little about it
then society kicks in,
and being the perfect humans that we are, we learn to learn.
we go to school and eventually forget the knowledge that we were born with.
tell me, when they taught you about newton's apple, didn't you go
'well i could've figured that out'

the truth lies in the simplest of things,
things as simple as a child's mind.
i'd like to have stayed that way
simple
pure
unreadable.

i'd like to still believe that the cardboard box lying in my back garden
is going to fly me to jupiter one day,
i'll make a pit stop at neptune and fly further,
further, further and out of the galaxy.
stare at the vast gleam of light
and feel what it is probably like
to be a new born baby again.

i feel overwhelmed by the beauty of this planet,
this universe that we live in and
i feel powerless when i try to solve its mysteries.
when my mother gave birth to me that night,
no wonder i was crying
ok these are a bit more personal than my art stuff but i'll give it a go yeah
